Session Statistics
One of the most powerful features of MacPoker Pro is the (near) real-time table monitoring capability. As you play online, data is mined from the Hand History files detailing how you and your opponents play in a variety of situations.

Additionally, the overall table/session statistics are captured to help you determine if the table you are at is a *good* table.

To begin the monitoring process, click the 'New Session' icon in the toolbar or select 'New Session' from the File menu.

You will be prompted to enter a starting Hand # - this can be any know Hand # that you have played, but you must have actually been dealt cards for that Hand.

Session
It may take a few minutes for the site you are playing at to publish the complete Hand History. Once the data is available you will see MacPoker Pro slicing and dicing it for you! There is a lot of content here, so let's start from the top down:
  • The window title will show you the table name, the stakes and whether you are playing a Real-money or Play-money game.
  • The 'Phase' pulldown menu let's you choose which set of statistics to display. When the selection is changed, the individual Player statistics shown in the table are updated appropriately.
  • The 'Show' pulldown menu let's you choose how to filter the individual player statistics. Your player statistics are always filtered by the current 'Session'.
  • There is a 'Refresh' icon in the upper -right corner of the window that becomes visible/enabled if your 'Session' is interrupted; this can happen if there is a problem retrieving a Hand History, or if you sit out one or more Hands at the table. When you click the refresh button you can enter a new Hand # to resume the session.
  • The 'Delay' slider allows you to control how long (in seconds) MacPoker Pro waits until attempting to fetch the next Hand from your session. If you are short-handed, you can reduce this interval. Likewise, a full, slow table can be tuned to allow for optimial performance.
  • The 'Auto Refresh' checkbox is used to control whether or not MacPoker Pro automatically refreshes the Statistcs each time a new Hand history is obtained. You might turn this off if you are importing a Session long after it has been played, or if you are playing many sessions at once and want to control your computers resources.
  • The first row of statistics indicate the nature of the table you are playing at. It's up to your personal preference to identify which types of tables you prefer to play.  These statistics are explained in full detail in the Statistics Reference.
  • The player statistics table shows all of the players at the table and some useful statistics based up on the 'Phase' and 'Show' pulldown menu selections. These statistics are explained in full detail in the Statistics Reference.
  • Additional information about the selected player is shown at the bottom of the window including an icon that indicates what type of player they are. The player types are explained in full detail in the Player Type Reference. Right below the icon you will see the selected player's Aggression Factor.
  • Hands that have been shown by the selected player along with individual game information and a section for taking notes about the player are also displayed here.
